Commitment to Safeguarding
The emotional, physical, and spiritual safety, well-being, and dignity of all within our diocese is an integral part of the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.
The Diocese of Lismore is committed and dedicated to safeguarding all those within our community. We aim to foster communities of safety and care. We acknowledge our legal, moral, and spiritual responsibilities to care for – and uphold the dignity and rights of – children, young people, and adults at risk.

The Diocese of Lismore’s Safeguarding Team works to ensure that we all stay connected in our efforts to promote a safer Diocese and to keep us all up to date with relevant information and important updates. The Diocese has a handbook that details all policies and procedures in relation to Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults. A copy of this handbook is available from the Parish Office.
